CLASS 10 EXAMS: TIPS TO SCORE WELL

The Central Board of Secondary Education recently announced that this year, the class 10 final examinations will start from February 21, 2019. With the examinations starting in a month, students and parents are sure to be in a frenzy and are to worry about the same. But these examinations can be easily cleared with flying colors if prepared for in the right way. Here are some last moment tips that will help students appear for Class 10 exams with confidence-

Relax - the worst thing that you can do to yourself during examinations is to take unnecessary pressure. Understand that the time lost is lost and that you need to concentrate on the time that is left. Make sure that you make optimum use of the time you have in your hands.

Make a timetable - evaluate yourself; understand what your strengths and weaknesses are and make a timetable accordingly. Give some extra time to work on your weak spots but at the same time, make sure that you are working on perfecting your strengths. Also, don't forget to keep the marks distribution in mind while making your timetable.

Solve previous year question and sample papers - these question papers will allow you an insight into the kind of questions that are asked in the board exams. They will also help you with factors like time management and help you navigate through the entire portion all at once.

Answer after understanding - do not rush while giving the examination. Understand the questions well and then write the answer.

For language examinations, make sure that everything you write is grammatically correct and is written keeping in mind the word count. For mathematics, be thorough with the formulas and theorems. Practice hard on the topics you feel you are weak at and remember the usual mistakes you make so that you don't repeat them during the exams. It's easy to score in the Science exams if you are clear with the concepts. Remember to use diagrams wherever required. Subjects like Social Studies require continuous revision of dates, names, events, and place. If you are clear on that, it's very easy to score in this subject.

For optional questions, choose wisely. Think of the points you have in both the questions and attempt the one you feel you have more points in. Also, avoid putting in too much time on one answer, mark it and go ahead. You can always attempt it later if you have time.

With these tips,VEMS wishes you all the very best for the class 10 exams! We hope that you score well and have a bright future ahead! For more such blogs, do visit www.vishwakalyanschool.in.
